- Books and other materials–The Lamar Public Library has over 53,000 copies for your reading enjoyment.
- Computers/Printing/Fax–The library boasts many computers including those especially for children, Spanish speakers, and wheelchair-bound patrons.
- Outreach Services
- Events/Programs–Story Hour, Summer Reading and more!
- Cultural Events Center–The Cultural Events Center is used for a variety of activities. If your group or organization is planning an event and is in need of place to hold it, call the library for reservation guidelines!
- Adult and Family Literacy Programs — Services range from one-on-one instruction to family programs such as story times, Summer Reading Programs, special programs and custom programs for groups. The library works with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to get free books into the homes of young children and their families. We can help with Spanish language access.
- Special Events–The Friends of the Library have book sales twice a year, the Southeast Colorado Art Guild has an annual show, and special performers are yours to enjoy. For a full schedule of upcoming programs, check our calendar.
- Workforce Training — We offer educational databases and resources and can assist you in accessing workforce training and resources through our partners.
- Annual Writing Contest
- Meeting Rooms–We also offer meeting rooms, big or small, which can be reserved. Call the library for information and reservation guidelines.
- Kids & Teens–Programs, homework help, book recommendations and more!
- Spanish Services–We recognize the needs of those patrons whose first language is Spanish. We have books, movies, magazines and computers in Spanish. We also offer free copies of the bilingual newspaper Hispania News.
- Library Tours–We offer tours of the library for individuals, homeschoolers, classes, or any group. Just call and set up an appointment.
