The library offers a wide variety of materials for checkout.
The Lamar Public Library has over 53,000 copies for your reading enjoyment, including audiobooks, videos and DVD’s.
Check out one of our digital books called Playaways. All you need is a pair of headphones. Don’t have a set? The library has them for sale.
We also have magazines, journals, newspapers, and automotive repair manuals in print and online. Current issues of magazines do not check out, but back issues do. Access information for children and adults with our Premium Online Resources, or join an online book club.
We offer services to the blind/visually-impaired. Patrons can receive shipments of talking books from the Colorado Talking Book Library. They offer large-print books & magazines. The library also offers large-print books.
Your library card also entitles you to borrow from the Lamar Community College collection.
If the library doesn’t have an item you want, we can borrow it for you. Just contact us, and give us details about the item you’d like. Materials take at least two weeks to arrive and come through the statewide interlibrary loan system.
Run out of good books to read? Ask the library staff about what’s new, or who’s good. Join our online book club to check out new titles and authors as well.
