Outreach Services is no longer like a mini-library on wheels. Instead, taking advantage of technology, patrons can place items (DVDs only available at LPL) on hold from the library’s Public Access Catalog (PAC). All it takes is your library card number and your password. Not sure how this works? Call or email the library and the staff will get this information for you.
The process begins by going to your account at the library’s webpage. Using the library catalog or access my account links, you can then enter your user name and password. Look up the title you want, hit the Hold It button.
The library staff will pull the item/s and call you to either come pick them up or make arrangements to deliver them to you at the next scheduled monthly Outreach Services visit. You get to choose!!
If you love to read, but find it difficult to stop by the library due to special needs, please contact the library at (719) 336-4632 and we will try our best to assist you.
Remember that you can also get signed up for the Colorado Talking Books program, provided by the Colorado State Library. This program offers services to the blind, deaf, or physically impaired by providing them with audio cassettes, Braille, and large print books free of charge. For more information on the Colorado Talking Books program, you may visit their web page at http://www2.cde.state.co.us/ctbl/ or contact us at (719) 336-4632.
