Circulation Policy

Document Actions

Patrons must present a valid LPL library card to check-out all materials. Visitors may present a valid photo id to use the computers. Replacement library card is $1.00.

Borrowing rules: You may borrow up to 5 items (3 DVDs or videos) at a time. Patrons in good standing (no fines) may check out additional materials when approved by supervisor.

Computer Use: Patrons may also use computers. Headphones are available for $1.00. Failure to return pass will result in a fine to replace these items.

Loan periods: Regular materials– two weeks; magazines-one week; VHS/DVD, magazines, new releases or high demand items – one week.Teachers and home-schoolers please ask for special policies. Two renewal check-outs for all materials. No renewals for items with holds.

Fines: Regular library materials have a 5-day grace period; 1 day on DVD & VHS. After grace period, fines will begin to accrue from original due date. Maximum fine is $5.00 per item. For damaged materials fines will be cost of the item plus $10 processing fee. A $1 mailing fee is charged  for all overdue notices.
